Easy Accounting on Judgment Day - Hisaab Yaseer

Allah the Most-Merciful will take an 'Easy Accounting', overlooking the sins

Allah, by His great mercy, takes easy accounting of His servants on Judgement Day and overlooks their bad deeds, so that their scale of good deeds becomes heavier and they enter Paradise.

The Prophet (S) would say in some of his prayers: “O Allah, reckon me with a light accounting.” So Aisha (r.a.) asked: “What is the light accountting (Hisaab Yaseer)?” He (S) said: “That He (Allah) looks in the book (of deeds) of His servant and then He overlooks it.”

(Ahmad, authentic)

Prophet (S) said “There is no one that will be held to account on the Day of Judgement, except that he will be ruined.”
Aisha said: “Did not Allah say: "Then He will be held to account with a light accounting (Hisaab Yaseer)?" {Qur'an 84:8}
So he (S) said “That only refers to the presentation (of one’s account). But rather, whoever is thoroughly taken into account, then he will be ruined."

(Bukhari, Muslim)

The description of the Accounting for the believer is that: “Allah will confer privately with him and remind him of his sins, until he will realize that he is ruined. Then Allah will say to him: ‘I screened your sins in the world for you and today, I will forgive you for them.’ Then he will be given his book of good deeds. As for the disbelievers and the hypocrites, (their sins will be exposed publicly) and there will be a general announcement about them before all creatures: “These are the ones who lied upon their Lord. Verily, is not the curse of Allah upon the wrongdoers!’"

(Saheeh Al-Bukharee, Saheeh Muslim)

It is Allah's mercy that will take one into Paradise. So, we must do good deeds but not be proud of them, and we must invoke Allah humbly to take us into His mercy and reckon us with an Easy Accounting.

Prophet (S) said, "The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the Hell Fire)." They said, "Even you, O Messenger?" He said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. So, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon, afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise)."

(Bukhari)
