Do Not Be A Miser (Quran 17:29)

 

Quran 17:29 "And let not your hand be tied (like a miser) to your neck..."

Prophet (S) said "Beware of stinginess because it destroyed those who were before you. It incited them to murder and treat unlawful as lawful (i.e. committing unlawful acts).''

Prophet (S) also said: "Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser'.
[Bukhari]

He (S) also said: "There are two habits which are never present together in a believer: miserliness and bad manners." [Tirmidhi]
